MEETING NEANDERTHAL: SCREENING AND DEBATE

The Master PANGEA is pleased to invite you to a screening, followed by a debate, of the documentary film "Meeting Neanderthal".

As part of the integration week of the Erasmus Mundus Master PANGEA (Palaeontology, Geoheritage and Applications), we are organising a screening of the documentary film “Meeting Neanderthal” with one of the two directors and two scientists who participated in the project!

"Back on the tracks of the mysterious neanderthal people who lived in North-West Europe for 200 000 years, in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and South England, long before the channel or the North sea, we discover they way of life of those who happened to be the first European people. Thanks to their archaeological and anthropological marks in the landscapes, we understand their deep connection with the environment. This new information resolves many issues, such as how to became such formidable predators, how they survived such extreme climates, what we have in common with them, and more..."

You will have the pleasure to discuss and debate with them at the end of the screening.

This event is open to the students of ULille enrolled in any Graduate Programme “Science for a Changing Planet” or in Earth Sciences in general.
