THE FIRST PANGEA FIELDTRIP

The first field trip for the inaugural cohort of PANGEA students took place from June 27 to July 3, 2021, in the breathtaking Villuercas Geopark, located in the heart of Spain.

During this immersive experience, the students explored remarkable sites such as Villarta de los Montes, Cañamero, Risco Carbonero, La Villuerca, and many more. We were warmly welcomed by Iván Cortijo Sánchez from the Geopark team, whose expertise enriched the visit.

One unforgettable highlight was the chance to engage in astrotourism and witness the moonrise—a truly magical moment for the 16 students.
